This is disappointing, but I, for one, welcome our new Yahoo overlords... The one bright spot is that Yahoo may speed up Flickr's own search functionality one of these days, but still, this is a step backwards in terms of useability, and a silly way to force people to use Yahoo! Image search.
The ocean's a weird place. In June, the Coast Guard closed its case on the Marian Ann. Said investigator Jim Crouse: "Our conclusion is that the Marian Ann sank for causes unknown."
According to the release: "The total value of items removed was $10,540 in DVDs, plus 24 stampers valued at $3,600 each or $15,000 - MPAA's claim of $30 million was inflated by 2,000%."
A great post about turning 33 and facing a new year. If I was this thoughtful, I'd, well, I don't know what I'd do, that's the problem with not being this thoughtful.

“Almost every American I know does trade large portions of his life for entertainment, hour by weeknight hour, binge by Saturday binge, Facebook check by Facebook check. I’m one of them. In the course of writing this I’ve watched all 13 episodes of House of Cards and who knows how many more West Wing episodes, and I’ve spent any number of blurred hours falling down internet rabbit holes. All instead of reading, or writing, or working, or spending real time with people I love.”
“Live a good life. If there are gods and they are just, then they will not care how devout you have been, but will welcome you based on the virtues you have lived by. If there are gods, but unjust, then you should not want to worship them. If there are no gods, then you will be gone, but will have lived a noble life that will live on in the memories of your loved ones.”
