How new is this? It's pretty cool, but pretty much half-assed. And hard to discover, except by accident!

50% of the world’s movie piracy is from Montreal, according to Fox

And, this article has the best photo caption ever: "Here's the scenario: You have a story about movies. But your story is also about pirates stealing movies. Clearly you have no choice but to run a picture of Johnny Depp playing a pirate in a movie. And voila, the Circle of Life is complete."

A Story about a Vancouver Policeman and His Petty Use of Force

I don't know if I could withstand the pressure and scrutiny that police officers have to live with every day on their job. On the other hand, that's why I'm not a police office and why I pay taxes.

Who built BC Place Stadium, and how can they say its roof is fine today?

According to this page, Dillingham Construction built the stadium, and they're now bankrupt after too many lawsuits about shoddy construction and overbilling in the 1980s. Really? Hmmm.

Did You Know: Microsoft Regresses to Word for HTML Email Rendering in Outlook 2007

Instead of using the IE 7 rendering engine, the new Outlook will use Word's old, crap-tacular HTML rendering engine. Why? Is it because IE7's security isn't actually all that? I really don't get it, and if you rely on HTML emails for your marketing, your clients won't be getting it, either.

Overheard

“The sad truth is that most evil is done by people who never make up their minds to be good or evil.”

...who said it?

“Almost every American I know does trade large portions of his life for entertainment, hour by weeknight hour, binge by Saturday binge, Facebook check by Facebook check. I’m one of them. In the course of writing this I’ve watched all 13 episodes of House of Cards and who knows how many more West Wing episodes, and I’ve spent any number of blurred hours falling down internet rabbit holes. All instead of reading, or writing, or working, or spending real time with people I love.”

...who said it?

“Live a good life. If there are gods and they are just, then they will not care how devout you have been, but will welcome you based on the virtues you have lived by. If there are gods, but unjust, then you should not want to worship them. If there are no gods, then you will be gone, but will have lived a noble life that will live on in the memories of your loved ones.”

...who said it?

“I play with variables constantly.”

...who said it?

“Only the person who has learned Continual Love coming from a heart of Gratitude/Worship can effectively deal with the problem of loneliness.”

...who said it?
