Mac DVD encoder HandBrake updates to .9.4 & REMOVES several significant functions

I'm not exaggerating when I say I'm THRILLED to see a piece of software that releases a new version that REMOVES some functionality that wasn't being actively used or developed. Is this an echo of the Snow Leopard release philosophy trickling down?
